Ok, so blogging the beer club hasn't quite worked out the way I planned, but the St. Sixtus Society is still going strong. We meet (almost) every week, have started a beer library (currently one volume), and even took a field trip to the world's greatest beer emporium. We're also working on a logo for shirts, hats, etc. I had hoped that we would use this space to discuss some of the beers we've tried (and brutha, we've tried some great ones). But, in the end, it's not about beer. It's about getting together with a couple of my very dearest friends in the world. It's sort of the "living out" part of what I write about in my other blog. It's the one (and only) thing I miss about church, the "together" part. Ironic that church, of all places, is where I've experienced the most profound love and the most painful rejection. May St. Sixtus never be such a place.
Anyway, I'm going to work on a list of some of our favorite brews and comment about them here soon.
Beer, it isn't just for breakfast anymore.

Not good enough! I want some descriptions of fine, dark beer! :)
a beer society? man, that's awesome.
Get on board the Ron Paul Revolution 2008.
He's the Christian constitutionalist candidate of choice for alienated young people.
Yeah, but where does he stand on the issue of easing tariffs on belgian malt beverages?
Why don't you just close the blod since you are not using it anyway. Then the person with the original stsixtus@gmail acct (me) could have the blog url. Thanks, in advance, if you choose to help out.
